This waterfall crashes into this impossibly huge boulder , pools into a plunge pool area and then runs a short distance (less than 100 feet) to a ledge where it does this....

The plunge pool for this waterfall is very deep and ice cold. You can only access this site by hiking about five miles. There is a backcountry campsite located about 15 minutes (hiking) from the falls. Rumors tell of an old four wheel drive trail that the locals used to use to access this pool for their "swimmin' hole" but this access has been closed down to protect the area. This waterfall is near a site that was used by ancient Native Americans as a passage from the mountain top to the gorge below. The passage consists of a giant fault (crack) in the bluff top that you can walk through. The earth gradually descends as you pass through the crack and eventually you emerge at the base of the bluff in the valley below.
