Cumberland Falls

Get out your map of the USA and locate the Cumberland River in Kentucky. This fall is the Cumberland River free falling about 60 feet. Early settlers were exploring this region by canoe when they came around a bend and heard the roar of this fall. Suprise! They got all the men and every boat but one to the bank safely. After they hauled all of their gear down the bank to the base of the falls, they discovered the other boat. It had washed over the falls and survived the ordeal. They loaded up and kept exploring.
