These photos more or less overlap to show the wall of a large dome pit in the Hall of Hearts. Notice the little water filled grotto in the side of the flow. I don't think that it has been explored for continuing passage, although Tim Curtis did drop into the pit.

Andrew Dickins ascends out of the small pit the first waterfall is in.

A sculpted and draperied flowstone canyon wall in the Hall of Hearts.

Kristen Bobo and Jackie King smile for the camera in the Hall of Hearts.

Kristen gets ready to squeeze through the hole into the Hall of Hearts.

Flowstone coats the entire wall in this part of the Hall of Hearts.

More beautiful flowstone in the Hall of Hearts.

A white heart. Hall of Hearts, Big Boy Canyons, Tennessee.

A small birds nest stalagmite in the Hall of Hearts.

That's me scrubbing mud off of the flowstone at the base of the large, white flowstone in the Hall of Hearts. This was taken in May, 2001.

Me holding a wand and rinsing mud off of flowstone. Our trip that day was trying to restore the following formation...

A white waterfall flowstone in the Hall of Hearts. This flow chokes out an intersecting passage in the Hall. The white continues across the floor in a series of small, white rimstone pools. This photo has been pieced together using PaintShop Pro. There is a blurry, horizontal seam in the top fourth of the photo if you look closely. This formation has since been climbed on and it damaged. See the photo below.

This photo clearly shows the difference between the mud covered trail and the un-muddied surrounding flowstone. The tape was added in May, 2001 and hopefully people will limit their traffic to the marked footpath.
